This post is designed for those who are interested in taking Korean language classes at our Lexis Korea – Busan campus.

Our regular Intensive Korean 25 and 15 courses are catered for adults and are taught using a dynamic and interactive learning style.

Our teachers provide a fun and vibrant atmosphere, encouraging you to actively participate in classroom discussions on the range of diversed themes each week.

There are also group exercises and activities during class that allows interaction with your classmates allowing you plenty of opportunity to learn what you’ve learnt as well as help you build your confidence in using the language.

Both our Intensive Korean 25 and 15 courses run from Monday to Friday as per the below timetable.

Our Intensive Korean 25 course is a full time course that runs from 9am to 3.30pm, whereas Intensive Korean 15 is a part time course that runs from 9am to 12.15pm.

Both courses share the same morning core text. The only difference is the addition of the skill focused classes that run during the afternoon session.

Those wanting more practical exercises should consider our Intensive Korean 25 course as it provides you with the opportunity to learn more vocabulary and to pick up the Korean language at a much faster pace. You may however want to keep in mind that it is more intensive.

In terms of the course structure, we don’t have a fixed start date as we run a weekly curriculum which enables students to start on any given Monday, for any given duration that suits your schedule. So that would mean you can study with us for a week, a month or even a year – it is your call.

We often get asked about how to calculate the fees so we thought we would do a quick post on how to interpret our fees list.

Registration Fees – KRW150,000 
This is a once-off payment that is applicable for NEW students only. This means if you’re a returning student, you will not need to pay for the registration fees again. Or if you have registered previously at our Lexis Seoul campus, and are looking to re-enrol at Lexis Busan, you will also not need to pay for registration fees.

Tuition Fees
Our Intensive Korean 25 and 15 Courses are both priced on a weekly basis:

Depending on which course you opt for, and the duration that you intend to study for, the fees will vary.

For example, if you choose our Intensive Korean 25 course and you would like to study with us for 8 weeks, this is how the calculation would work:

KRW305,000 x 8 weeks = KRW2,440,000

Books & Materials Fees – KRW10,000 pw
Books & materials are also priced on a weekly basis at KRW10,000 per week for our Intensive Korean 25 and Intensive Korean 15 Courses.

오늘 렉시스 부산 친구들은 부산의 유명한 공방인 ‘수걸도예’에 도자기를 만들러 갔어요.

한국 사람이라면 한 번쯤은 도자기를 만드는 체험을 한 기억이 있을텐데요.

외국에서 온 렉시스 친구들한테는 도자기를 만든다는 건 태어나서 처음 해 보는 경험이었어요.

‘수걸도예’는 부산에서 20년이 넘도록 한 자리를 지켜온 아주 역사가 깊은 공방이라고 해요.

구석 구석에 이곳을 다녀간 분들의 작품들이 전시되어 있었어요.

이곳에서 사용하는 모든 점토는 부산에 있는 산에서 직접 흙을 담아 가지고 와서 손수 만들어낸 수제흙이라고 하네요. 유약을 바를 때도 천연재료를 사용한다고 합니다. 조금씩 색깔이 다른 작품은 인공적으로 색을 조절한 것이 아니라 다른 종류의 흙으로 빚었기 때문에 그렇다고 합니다.

이곳을 다녀간 외국인들의 흔적도 눈에 띄었는데요. 재미있는 작품들이 많았어요.

‘바압’이라고 쓰여진 그릇을 보고 다 함께 웃기도 했어요. 내 ‘바압’그릇! ㅋㅋㅋ

오늘은 일일체험이니까 밥그릇이나 컵처럼 비교적 쉬운 도자기를 만들어 봤어요.

먼저 제일 중요한 받침 만들기. 물 조절도 중요하고 힘의 강도도 중요한 작업.

공방의 선생님께서 하나하나 친절히 설명해 주셨어요.

어려운 용어들도 많았는데 눈치만 보고도 척척 잘 만들어내는 우등생들~

그릇의 기둥을 만들다가 잠깐 쉬는 시간에는

공방 선생님이 연탄불에 구운 고구마를 간식으로 주셨어요.

왠지 더 달고 맛있는 것 같은 고구마 ㅋㅋㅋ

천연재료라서 흙을 만지다가 고구마를 먹어도 손이 더럽다는 생각이 들지 않았어요.

한국의 선조들은 도자기를 빚을 때 자신의 영혼을 빚는거라고 생각하셨다네요.

내 ‘soul’ 을 담아서~ 만들겠다던 친구들.

비록 외국인들이지만 오늘 온 렉시스 친구들의 손 느낌이 참 좋다고 선생님께 칭찬도 받았어요.

 

완벽하지는 않지만 손수 만들어 조금씩 삐뚤어진 모습이 더 아름다워요.

도자기 완성!

한국적인 소박하고 깔끔한 느낌을 좋아해서 그릇 위에 글은 새기지 않았어요~

오늘 만든 작품은 선생님께서 잘 굽고 완성해서 전달해 주신다고 하셨어요.

내가 직접 만든 작품이 어떤 모습일지 벌써부터 보고 싶고 궁금하지만

흙으로 천천히 도자기를 빚을 때처럼 여유를 가지고 느긋하게 기다리기로 했어요.

나중에 스스로에게도 좋은 선물이 될 것 같아요. 🙂

지난 주 금요일에 부산 캠퍼스에서 한국요리수업이 있었어요
바로바로  참치마요 주먹밥 만들기!!
참치마요주먹밥은 참치와 마요네즈로 만드는 간단한 간식이에요.
크기가 주먹만해서 주먹밥이랍니다 🙂

먼저 밥을 준비하고 김을 잘게 자른 후
참치와 각종 재료들을 넣어어서 버무립니다

그리고 손으로 동글동글하게 말아주고,
마지막으로 예쁘게 김을 감고 깨를 뿌려주면 완성!!!

어때요, 참 쉽죠?? 

누구 주먹밥이 제일 맛있을까요~~

배고플 때 집에서도 간편하게 해 먹을 수 있는 요리니까

지난 주 금요일에는 부산시립미술관에 전시를 보러 다녀왔어요.
부산시립미술관은 BEXCO 근처에 있어요.
부산시립미술관에서 열리는 전시는 특별한 경우를 제외하고는 입장료 없이 무료로 관람할 수 있어서 아주 좋아요.
이번에 우리가 관람한 전시의 제목은 이었어요.
여행을 주제로 한 다양한 생각과 관점을 미술로 표현한 작품을 볼 수 있었어요.

이렇게 관람을 시작하기 전에, 내가 하고 싶은 여행에 대해 직접 티켓을 만들고, 생각해보면서 관람을 할 수 있었어요. 우리도 티켓을 만들고, 관람을 시작했어요!

유명 여행지, 전망, 산, 바다, 숲 등 여행하면 떠오르는 주제들로 전시가 구성되었어요.
가보지 않은 한국의 아름다운 여행지를 많이 볼 수 있었어요.

마지막에는 내 일상 속의 아름다운 장소를 여행지로 소개하는 글을 쓸 수 있었어요.
학생들도 그림을 그리고 소개해보았습니다.

이 전시는 2월 18일까지 진행될 예정이에요.
